Helping out

It's hard to believe, but nearly two years have gone by since the Children's Home moved to its new campus.

That's two years of wear & tear, and with nearly ninety boys and girls running through the school building every day – and at times expressing their frustration and anger – the school walls certainly have telltale signs.

In a joint effort, initiated by the boys of the Junior Unit, all 26 boys and their teachers spent an invigorating three days repainting the school halls and classrooms, giving a clean, fresh and inviting look to their learning environment.

In the process, they picked up some useful skills, together with an exercise in commitment, good work habits, cooperation and an appreciation of hard work.

Perhaps after all that, they will be motivated to also take better care, at least for a while...
