"Treatment in Life Space"
In order to fill the void of theoretical writings in Hebrew that address the needs of residential treatment workers, the Children's Home has created and published a training manual that deals with the daily issues and difficulties encountered especially by child-care-workers and teachers of children with severe emotional difficulties.

The training manual brought together a collection of papers considered the "classics" of residential treatment theory, rich theoretical material that presents methods of treatment intervention in life space, which transform the small details of everyday life (mealtime, bedtime, temper tantrums, etc.) into experiences that benefit the child's relationships and development.
Papers by Fritz Redl, David Wineman, Albert Trieschman, James Wittaker and Bruno Bettelheim were translated into Hebrew and edited, presenting their basic concepts and professional perspectives that have formed the basis for all residential care from the mid-20th century until today.
Additionally, four papers were included from the writings of Dr. Yecheskiel (Chezzi) Cohen, who directed the Home and developed many of the treatment methods over a period of thirty-five years prior to his retirement.
Dr. Chezzi Cohen played a major and highly significant role in formulating the residential care theory and methodology for Israeli children and youth.
The training manual, "Treatment in Life Space", was published in 2005 and dedicated to Dr. Chezzi Cohen.
It has since gone into a second printing and is widely used by schools of special education, universities, residential care facilities and professionals throughout Israel.
