Intel brightens the lives of our junior unit boys

This past summer, as part of their program of giving back to the community, the employees of Intel Jerusalem came to our Children's Home on three separate occasions, to paint the living quarters of many of our children. This wonderful donation of time and effort was doubly beneficial because the Intel employees worked alongside our youngsters and strong connections were made. The effect of their interest, care and effort on our youngsters is truly heartwarming.

Right before Chanukah we were thrilled that the Intel employees were again thinking of our boys and on a special afternoon, came to spend time and spread some Chanukah cheer with gifts which they presented to each and every boy.

Soon after, the employees of Intel again made a special effort, inviting our boys to visit them at their place of work in Jerusalem. The afternoon started with a ride in a luxury bus courtesy of Intel and some refreshments. After getting special VIP visitor stickers allowing them to enter the facility, the boys were taken to the lab where their hosts proceeded to give them a crash course on the inner workings of computers. A short film about how we use computers every day was followed by the chance to try on the "bunny suits"  that are worn in the sterile computer lab "clean rooms".

This wonderful afternoon excursion with the chance for the boys to spend time with their "old  friends" from Intel and see their workplace environment was both an educational and a profoundly meaningful experience.
