Graduates Reunion

In January 2009, the RTC organized a Grand Reunion for all graduates a moment before moving to the new campus in Kiryat Ya'arim (Abu Gosh). There was an overwhelming response to the reunion, which was well attended, and letters of thanks poured in for days.

"My childhood memories of my stay at the Children's Home are deeply engraved in my mind and have had an enormous emotional influence on my life. This emerged yesterday at the reunion. I was moved to see all the buildings with the red roofs and the same walls as if the years hadn't changed them - my room, my classroom, the dining room, and the entrance to the Home. And to see Chezzi, the eternal director, and friends I haven't seen in 40 years. I want to thank all the RTC staff from the bottom of my heart for the great effort invested in finding all the graduates and arranging this unforgettable reunion."

"Thank you for this wonderful initiative. It took me a few days to recover from all the emotions that surfaced during the reunion. I can still see in my mind's eye the people who were part of my life when I was a young counselor. It was wonderful to see how the children had become adults. They arrived with their wives and small children in order to show them where they spent their childhood years. I was so happy to discover what kind of successful people we had helped create with our educational program. All the people who worked at the RTC during one period or another can be proud of the significant role we played in the lives of these children, who fate and families had betrayed. And when I look back, I recognize and respect our tremendous contribution."
